Natural Disasters around the World Virtual Tour

Natural Disasters

I viewed Carol Hoffers, Lauren Payne, and Beth Peach's virtual tours.

Doing virtual tours has upsides and downsides in an elementary school classroom. A few upsides is that your students can see and visit places that they would not normally have the opportunity to see. A downside to them is some things would be better to see in person and experience. I hope that I can effectively incorporate google earth into my future classrooms.

  1. Your tour was great! I liked how you used alot of layers and tools.

  2. This was an excellent tour - very creative in your use of overlays and great pictures showing the results of the disasters. The earth quake overlay needed to be moved just a tad to line up with the actual coast.

  3. Ashley, I liked how you used so many different layers. I especially liked how you showed the size of Hurrican Ike. Glad I wasn't there!
